These are the blue dots on the map / imgery background. These screen shots are indicative of the common picture of the battlefield that was delivered in near real-time to soldiers, commanders, and policy makers. We also understand that some of these pictures were used for daily briefs to the President on the progress of the war. I would like to introduce Major Rod Mentzer.
