OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY PRIMARY SPORT WEEK
NATIONAL SCHOOL SPORT WEEK National School Sport Week is a week long sporting celebration for primary and secondary schools. National School Sport Week took place from 6 th to 10 th June The aim of this week was to use the spirit of the London 2012 Olympic Games to encourage us all to have a greater interest in sport and actively participate in more sport. In our Physical Education lessons during this week we were given the opportunity to participate in some Olympic sports and try some new sports eg. athletics, gymnastics, basketball, hockey, badminton, tennis, football, volleyball, handball, golf, cricket and taekwondo.
OLYMPIC TORCH PARADE We began our celebration of National School Sport Week with an Olympic Torch Parade around the school grounds. Each class designed their own Olympic torch to carry at the parade. There were some wonderful designs! Take a look!

SPORTS DAY We had our school sports day during sport week. We participated in lots of different events and demonstrated the skills we have learned in PE this year.
