Sports and Martial Arts BY PATRICK AND ZAC

History  Martial arts started in China.  It is also practiced for exercise  It is practiced for self defense  Martial arts have been part of the Chinese culture for 2000 years.  The government provides sports in facilities, factories, schools and government buildings.

 More than 6 million children in the U.S do martial arts.  It is known to improve discipline and respect.  Kung Fu is one of the martial arts commonly performed in both the U.S. and in China Martial arts in the U.S

Chinese indoor sports  Ping pong and table tennis are China’s national sport!  Kids in school play ping pong at recess.  Kids also play badminton during recess time.  Gymnastics has been part of China for 2 thousand years!

Chinese outdoor games  Soccer and basketball are both very popular in China  China does very well in the Olympics in swimming and volleyball and gymnastics.  Gymnastics has been part of China for 2 thousand years!
