Color of Lights  You may only have white or amber colored headlights unless:  You hold a special permit  You drive a special vehicle

Turn Signals  You must have rear and front working turn signals

Windshield/Windows  All glass should be free of discoloration and cracks

 No.  Glass should be free of cracks. This crack is so large it could affect your field of vision.

Exhaust System  Your vehicle should not:  Have a muffler cutout  Bypass (produces excessive smoke or gas)  Produce excess noise

 NO! it sounds like a race car.

Rear View Mirror  All vehicles must have a rear view mirror

Windshield Wipers  All vehicles should be equipped with working windshield

Horn and Warning Device  Your vehicle must have a working horn

Broken Parts  Your car should not:  Have protruding objects  Broken sharp edges  Dangerous vehicle parts

Other Equipment  Bumper Law- must have a bumper

 Safety Belts- You must have at least 2 seatbelts for the front seat. You must wear the seatbelt for all components of the skills test.

Other Equipment  Flashers- may be used when a disabled vehicle is left or near a roadway

Other Equipment  Studded tires- are legal from Nov.1- April 15

 Window Tinting  Windshield- must allow 70% light transmission  Front seat driver/passenger side windows- must allow 50% light transmission  Violation of this is a misdemeanor and $100 fine

 YES! As long as it is between November 1 and April 15.

 NO!  Only white and amber colored lights are legal
