y SCHOOL My VOICE Our projects! Our three programmes -Vocational Training Centres -School Improvement Programme -Carbon Offsetting Programme Where: Rural Tanzania What: In 2009, our school improvement programme which renovated schools across the Kilimanjaro region, helped over 2520 children gain access to a clean and safe schooling environment.

y SCHOOL My VOICE How we’ve helped!! Carbon Offsetting in Tanzania Childreach International conducts Futurebuilding and Challenge Events throughout the world to raise funds for projects. The Carbon Offsetting programme is a tree planting programme in Tanzania to offset the carbon emissions from flights for our projects to remain carbon neutral and avoid increasing environmental degradation. Perpetuachalis, aged 15 “I joined Mahida VTC so that I may be able to get a job and support myself. Childreach International has helped me grow intellectually and it has put me in a better position to get a job when I graduate. I hope to work with another tailor when I finish in November this year. If not, I would like to form a group and be given machines by Childreach International. I want to start up a business with the other graduates.” Vocational Training Courses Joseph, aged 12 “My school used to be in a bad condition. The toilets were in bad shape, the classroom floors were broken and the kitchen was very basic, it was made of mud and timber. Childreach International has constructed a kitchen and toilets and renovated the classrooms so now I study in a good environment. When I grow up I want to be a doctor, as I want to save lives”. Student Improvement Programme
