Production Studio photos These photos where taken experimenting with lighting and gel affects on a snoot.

Best photo I feel that this is the best photo because it captures everything in the motion and you can see the usage of Gel in the effect on the right hand side of my body. Also I like the way the lighting cast shadows across me but did not make any apparent on the background.

Shoot evaluation The original intention of the shoot was to capture a set of pictures that showed the different lighting methods and use of gels. I realised the planned intention by being a model for this shoot. The shoot ideas did change as It went through the process as the lighting positions changed along with the positioning of the gel.

Final image of shoot I chose to edit the photo and put it into black and white as I feel that in this form it captures the raw power and emotion in the photo which might be lost in colour due to looking at clothes and other aspects of the picture if it where in coloured form.

This uses 4 photo’s. the first being the background the second the basket of oranges, the third the woman and the fourth the hand drag marks.

This is two photo’s, the guys with frame and the sea scene through the hole in the frame.

This is 4 photo’s, the road, the scissors and the two folds

This photo uses 4 photo’s the room with light stream, the hole, the chair falling and the flames.

This uses 4 photo’s the ropes, background, the floor base and house.

This uses four photo’s, background, 2 frames and the guy.

This uses 4 photo’s, the background the zebra’s the keys and last the hands.

This is a flylephant it is created using 2 photo’s the first the elephant the second its ears replaced with butterfly wings.

This uses two photo’s the first the layout and second the miniature hippopotamus.

This is 3 photo’s first the raven, second the paint splats and third the background.

This is 4 images, the background and boards and then you have your separate meerkats.

This photo uses 4 the layout (tree) the second the house front, and lastly the two separate windows.

This is using 6 photo’s, first the background, second the separate crows, than the old man and lastly the hat in the beak.

This image uses 3 photo’s, the first being the warehouse room, the second being the the moon and the third being the shadow.

This image was created using 3 images, the first being the pool, the second the subject and the third the blood cloud.

This image was created using 9 images, the first the mushroom the second the door and third all the separate windows.

This image was created using 3 photos, the first the arm, the second the battery compartment and the third the case cover.

I believe this image was created using two photo’s, the first a squirrel and the second the bird. They than would have merged the head onto the body and copied the pattern onto the head.

I believe this photo was created using 4 images, the first being the background (blackness and moon surface), the second being the brachiosaurus, the third the astronaut and the fourth the smudge.

I believe this image was made using two photo’s the first being the scenic background and the second being the man swimming creating the splash.

I believe this image was made by using 5 photo’s. the first being the background, light and the fence, the second the shell, the third the door, the fourth the bird house and bird and the fifth being the swinging clock.

I believe that this image was manipulated by creating a photo using five photo’s. The first being the background (windows) the second being the steps, the third the cracked rubble, the fourth the moon and the fifth the Girl.

Final image(s) Image 1 Image 2

Evaluation Breakdown Image 1- this image was created using the following tools in Photoshop; copying, layers, image adjustments (contrast, opacity, levels), lasso tool, paint brush, merging. Image 2 – this image was created using the following tools in Photoshop; copying, transforming (free), lasso tool, image adjustments (contrast, opacity, levels), layers and purging. Things that went well where, the photo editing, shooting pictures both of site and in studio, finding examples of inspiration in the field of manipulation. Next time I think I would try different editing methods to make the changes easier and more effective. I opt for the images I shot because when researching image manipulation I was inspired by a theme of nature and life from, building and plant merging to animal and person merging.

Project evaluation The point of this Project was to explore lighting methods and manipulation in photography. In this project I have achieved goals such as learning more about studio operations and lighting also health and safety in studio’s and off set/out in the field. In the coming future I will use the experiences and the knowledge I have learnt in this project to improve upon my performance in order to deliver a better quality of work.
