Third Grade Reading Skills FOCUS: Drawing Conclusions

Frank walked up and down the aisles. He looked at the titles on the books, and he read the call numbers. He checked the paperback section, but the book he wanted just wasn’t on the shelves. Frank could think of only one more thing to do. You can guess that Frank will: A. ask the librarian for help B. start his research all over again C. give up and go home D. look in the magazine section

Barney stepped back to look at his work. He leaned his head to one side as he gazed at the canvas. Then, he wiped his hands with a rag and cleaned his brushes. You can guess that Barney is a : A. painter B. cook C. hairdresser D. dentist
