 Computer virus is something that copies itself to computer software.  Virus can delete the hosts important documents which includes bank accounts.  In 1980 people had their own computers which were virus free.

 Spyware is a type of software that is already installed.  It is a software aimed to collect information about the host.

 Spam means when someone is sending you plain garbage.  The official name of 'Spam' is unsolicited commercial and it is a major pest.  To reduce this burden, the Internet Service Providers (ISP) has anti- spam filters.

 “Phishing” is a form of Internet fraud where criminals aim to steal valuable information.  They set up a fake website which looks identical to a business.  Phishing is a secret method.

 Firewalls is a software that can protect the owners computer.  Windows have a built in firewall which will protect the owner very well.  It is done by controlling what data can and cannot pass through it.

 Anti-virus is a type of programme that should be download before a computer is used.  There are different types of viruses such as MacAfee, Avast and Norton.  These anti-virus software will protect the owners computer which is being affected by worms.

 A pop-up blocker sometimes called the pop-up killer.  A pop-up appears on your screen when you are on a dodgy website.  If you click on the pop-up it’ll cause your computer to have viruses.

 If the owner reveals his password to anyone a hacker can hack your computer.  You should always secure your windows pc or mac with installing antivirus software.  The owner should have a password which has a combination of letters and numbers.

 Remember your password at all times.  The host should always remember his password.  Update your installed documents regularly so your computer is well protected.

 Remember to download anti-virus.  Don’t share you password  Update your installed programmes regularly  Don’t click on adverts or pop-ups
