In Franche-Comt é, there are 1,151, 000 inhabitants on sq km. Franche-Comt é is divided into four departments : Doubs, Jura, Haute-Saône, and the Territory of Belfort. The region is by the border of Switzerland. Franche-Comt é is a mountainous region.

Our high school is in Champagnole where there are 9196 inhabitants who are called Champagnolais ». The surface of this city is 2018 hectares. It is 545 meter-high. In there, we can find 6 supermarkets, ambulances, jewelers, florists, one gendarmerie and a public school and many restaurants.

In our high school, there are four buildings : - the boarding school - the gymnasium - technical building - and the main building.

In the main building there are two « streets » that are called the Gallery street and the Forum Street.

In the Forum street, there are work rooms. We prefer to go to many places where we can relax and chat with all our friends when we have free times.

If we want we can go to the library that is called « CDI » in France. We can go there for our research work, reading or surfing the web.

Two hours a week, we go to the gym to play different sports like handball, football, basketball … At the boarding school, every Thursday, we can watch a film. We can make propositions of films.

For the people who take the professional diploma, there is the technical buildings.

In our school there are lots of different activities : - A section football for boys and a section handball for boys and girls. - Some students come to our school to practise this special option : Tennis and table tennis

-On Wednesday afternoon the sport association offers many other activities for the most sporty like : - climbing -badminton, rugby, handball,football, Table tennis, Volleyball, Mountain bike

The Boarding school - The rooms They can receive four students. All the boarders have a cupboard, a bed, a desk and a chair. The fourniture is good and the cleaning is done everyday.

- The Activities In the boarding school, we can do lots of activities : - Watching movies and TV everyday when we have time. - Outdoor activities. - Going to Champagnole city on Wednesday afternoon to go to the swimming pool or the cinema … - We can practise sports. - From 7:30 to 9 PM, we have to do our homeworks.

In our high school, we study many general subjects: French, Mathematics, Biology, History, Physics, Social and Judicial studies, Sports, Chemistry. We have some options: German, Spanish, Latin, Greek, Economics or technical subjects.

To prepare the general exam, you can choose between 4 different classes: literature, economics, sciences, industrial techniques and sciences.

To prepare the professional exam:there are 3 classes: * industrial technician, * social and health, * carpenter.

Our high school is the one of the best for exam results: 93 % succeed at the general exam 95 % at the professional exam 90 % at the technical exam.

We can do our homework in a room in autonomy, or in a study room, or in the library.

The School year The school year starts at the beginning of September and finishes at the end of July. We have 9 weeks holiday during the school year.

Heating Project In the school,there are 700 radiators.It is an electric warming. Our school would like to change the heating for a gas one because it is very expensive. And after they will change the gas for a heating with wood.

The students have to read four books given by the teacher, and one is elected at the end of the school year.
