 The southern flying squirrel is usually found in hammocks or swamps in Florida.  It is also found in the trees.  It is found in South Florida.

 The southern flying mouse mostly eats nuts and leaves.  The Southern Flying Squirrel Eats nuts, acorns, seeds, berries, fungi, lichens, birds, nestling and eggs, some insects, vertebrates, including Carrion, and moths.

 People think they can fly but they don’t they glide.  They are the only nocturnal tree squirrels.  It stays in its nest during extreme cold weather.  They gnaw on bark and drink they sap.  They store lots and lots of nut for the winter.
