Importance of the Nile Provides trade for the Egyptians. Brought fresh soil up onto the land. Gave the Egyptians an opportunity to catch many fish. Provided preventions of attack. Three of the Egyptian gods tied in with the Nile for various reasons. Ra- (sun god)The sun and the lakes are two main parts of the world. Amun- (most powerful god) so he controlled the waters. Khnum- (creator god) so he created the waters.

Afterlife Afterlife was very important to the Egyptians. It was the most important part of life. Wealthy people get buried in stone tombs and get valuable stuff. Those who have a light heart mean they lived a life as a good person. If your heart is lighter than a feather, you can go through the mummification process. www.kenseamedia.com/.../images/afterlife1.jpg
