Power Tools

Is any tool that is powered by something other than human force. I.e.  Electricity  Fuel Engines  Pneumatics  Hydraulics

Electric-Powered Most commonly used. I.e.  Saws  Drills  Sanders  Grinders

Fuel Engines Typically gasoline. Used where there is no electricity I.e.  Chain Saws  Leaf blowers  Post hole diggers  Generators

Pneumatic Tools Used with compressed air as power. I.e.  Powered nail gun  Powered staplers  Air Compressors  Drills  Impact driver

Hydraulic Tools Uses a compressed liquid, usually oil, to provide power. I.e.  Jacks  Loaders  Lifts  Presses

Power Tool Safety

Never operate a power tool without reading the operator’s manual. All electrical equipment should be properly grounded. Avoid damp or wet areas when using electrical power tools. Use personal protective devices. Keep tools in good condition.
