Locally responsive, nationally effective The BusinessNZ ‘family’ has its roots in four large regional organisations of member businesses that together cover the entire country. Membership is drawn from four regional business organisations which offer services and support to over 14,500 member companies. EMA Northern - Auckland, Waikato and Tauranga branches of ExportNZ Employers’ Chamber of Commerce Central - Wellington and Hawkes Bay Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce - Canterbury Otago Southland Employers’ Association – Otago Southland This regional presence is the strength behind BusinessNZ’s advocacy on behalf of all New Zealand business. BusinessNZ also represents more than 70 national industry associations with a combined membership of some 76,000 employers, which together employ about 80 per cent of private sector employees.

Regionally At a regional level, ExportNZ is run by exporters for exporters. Networking: share knowledge, ideas, contacts and opportunities with like-minded exporters. Speakers: network with other exporters, and gain valuable insights from guest speakers. Education: specially designed courses for the new exporter or those wanting to extend their knowledge base, or to provide staff with "export" education Other: too many to mention
