LEADERS CONFERENCE QUEBEC 2010 Equitable Life of Canada is pleased to announce our New Annual Leaders Conference, with the inaugural event at: Le Chateau Frontenac Quebec City We want you to be a part of the journey for 2010, and with the qualifying period running from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009 every Advisor has the chance to attend.

LEADERS CONFERENCE QUEBEC 2010 WHO: For Individual Advisors WHAT: Equitable Life of Canada’s Leaders Conference WHEN: June 17 th to June 20 th, 2010 WHERE: Le Chateau Frontenac, Quebec City WHY: For the opportunity to network with your peers and head office leaders. To expand your knowledge and earn CE credits. To take part in a 4 day and 3 night stay in historical Quebec City.

CONFERENCE REQUIREMENTS CONFERENCE CREDITS Full quota for all Individual Advisors is 40,000 credits Individual Advisors must also have 5 settled policies All attendees must reach full quota QUALIFYING PERIOD January 1, December 31, 2009 Conference Credits are earned from business settling from January 1, 2009 up to and including year-end December 31, 2009.

INDIVIDUAL LIFE BUSINESS CREDITS Individual Life Sales Credits 1 credit per $1 of Life Net Annualized First Year Commission Annuity Sales Credits 0.35 credit per $1 of Net Annualized First Year Commission (including Segregated Funds) CONFERENCE REQUIREMENTS

CONFERENCE RULES AND NOTES 1.Qualification Period is January 1, 2009 to December 31, Conference credits are based on net annualized first year commissions (NAFYC) for Individual Life and Investment sales. 3.The number of Conference Credits required to qualify and the allocation of Conference Credits are set out in the requirement/qualification sheets for the Advisors and Agencies that are eligible to qualify. 4.For new Individual Life and Investment business, Conference Credits are based on Net Settled Business as shown on Company-produced statements. CONTINUED 5.Investment NAFYC includes credits earned on business known as “Non-Participating Investment Plans”, such as; Segregated Funds, Immediate Annuities, Guaranteed Deposit Accounts, RRIFs, and LIFs, etc. 6.For Individual Life cases administered under the Large Case Commission rules, Conference Credits will be allocated in the same manner as commissions are credited to the Advisor’s account. 7.Individual Advisors are responsible for disclosing to clients any aspect of their participation in Equitable Life’s Leaders’ Conference qualification or their attendance at Conference. 8.Once an Advisor has qualified, attendance of the Advisor and spouse/guest is by invitation only from Equitable Life, (at company expense) and is not a contractual right. CONTINUED 9.Qualifiers must have an active Advisor’s agreement with the Company on the date of the Conference. 10.Net settled business will be as shown on Company-produced statements. 11.Conference Credits cannot be transferred from one Advisor to another Advisor under any circumstances. 12.No credits are given for bonuses or overrides. 13.Meeting the performance qualifications for the Conference makes individuals eligible to receive an invitation to Conference. However, a qualifier who does not attend the Conference will not receive a substitute award in lieu of attending the Conference. As well, the qualifier cannot name a substitute to attend in their place. CONFERENCE RULES

CONTINUED 14.Income Tax regulations require that a portion of each attendee’s cost to attend the Conference is reportable for tax purposes. As a result, the Company will issue T4A slips for the 2010 tax year. The amount reported will depend on actual costs incurred. 15.Because of tax consequences, children are not permitted at the Conference. Matters not covered will be decided by Equitable Life.
