CSR NGO Hero: All-China Women's Federation Background Description / Mission Statement:  Founded on April 3, 1949, the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF) is a mass organization dedicated to the advancement of Chinese women of all ethnic groups in all walks of life. Its mission is to represent and to protect women’s rights and interests, and to promote equality between men and women.  ACWF is a multi-tiered organization with local women’s federations and group members at every divisional level of government.

ACWF’s Contributions  During 2009 New Year's Day, Spring Festival, All-China Women's Federation and the China Children and Teenagers Foundation organized a "Constant Love Action", donating sweaters to Sichuan, Gansu, and other earthquake-stricken areas.  In 2008, All-China Women's Federation, Joint Trade Unions, Chinese Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Chinese People's Association for  Friendship with Foreign Countries, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, All-China Youth Federation, China Overseas Friendship Association, and China Disabled Persons Federation co-sponsored the "Our Olympic - Smile China 2008 National Health Volunteers Action", and the action was also sponsored by Guizhou Bai Yi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

ACWF’s Contributions  In September 2007, All-China Women's Federation, National Development and Reform Commission, Central Propaganda Department, and other 17 ministries jointly launched a universal energy-saving emission reduction initiative. This action was also supported by Mary Kay.  In February 2007, All-China Women's Federation and Red Star Furniture Group jointly set up a 10 million “RedStar Furniture Group love fund" to help people in poverty build warm and harmonious homes.  From May 2006 to June 2007, the All-China Women's Federation, the State Environmental Protection Administration jointly organized a national DIY Contest "green family" resource-conserving actions. The actions were greatly sponsored by Haier.

ACWF’s Contributions  In 2006, All-China Women's Federation, Yadu corporation and local women's federations donated 1000 Yadu "guardians of children” to protect the new born babies and women from air pollution.  In December 2005, Chinese National Commission for Women and Yadu corporation co- financed to the construction of 1000 clean green delivery rooms in more than 100 cities.  In 2001, All-China Women's Federation, along with Mary Kay and some Chinese companies, co-founded the "Mary Kay Women's Venture Capital Fund" for the unemployed women.  In 2000, China Women's Federation, Beijing Municipal Government, China Central Television in association with the Chinese Women's Development Foundation organized the "Caring about West China Sharing Motherly Love" public service activities, raising 116 million RMB for the establishment of "Earth love Mother Water Cellar "project implemented in 2001.The project was funded by many companies, such as Perfect (China) Co.,Ltd, PEPSI, China Everbright Bank.
