Presentation transcript:

These are the Awful Eight. The biggest pollutants on the Earth.

 Some of these terrible pollutants come from mining and constructions. But most of them come from burning different stuff like gasoline, coal, and even from wood which is burned in burning stoves. They are one of the main causes of some lung diseases, they make your throat hurt and even your eyes itch.

Our planet is our home. Let’s keep it alive!

 This is caused by the burning fuel in cars, trucks and other machines. That is something you can’t smell or see but as it is undetectable it can also kill. This is like a strong blood poison and it makes people feel tired. It also causes bad headache.

These pollutants are made of all kinds of poisons. They come from almost everywhere. Chemical plants, dry as oil refineries waste sites, gasoline and a lot more. The worst disease they cause is cancer and many more.

 It’s caused by the work of power plants. The burning of coal in them produces electricity. It makes the breathing hard and makes trees grow slower. The most important is that with the water in the atmosphere it mixes to the “rain of death” – the acid rain, which is really bad for all kind of life on earth.

 The so called “Nitros” get into the air by burning fuel from cars, trucks, planes and with the work of power plants. They make lungs hurt when you breathe and it’s really bad for people with asthma. Nitros can mix with water, making the deadly acid rain.

 These are the consequences of the mixing of “Nitros” with some other pollutants and with a little help from the heat of the sun, the Bad Ozone is created. This can also be called “smog”. It attacks the lungs, and the eyes. You can also get a terrible headache.

 This is one of the most important things for our planet. It protects us from the ultra violet (UV) rays. They can hurt the skin and cause a lot of bad skin diseases. The bad thing is that the good ozone layer is disappearing. That causes the UV rays to get in, but the heat is unable to go out because of the gases made by all kinds of CFCs. Then the global warming comes. The problem that scientists must solve in order to live normal.

 These pollutants are coming from the fast food containers, packing materials, coolants for refrigerators and air conditioners too. We make them and then we suffer from their damage of the ozone layer. If we keep using so much aerosol sprays, and stuff like this, maybe in the future some big cities will be under water because of the global warming.

 The only one who is guilty for all is the human kind. But people can change. Our lives are in our own hands and if we want to keep living on the planet Earth we should get involved together and work hard to make it worth living.  Some advices : Drive cars less, save forests, plant new trees, and a lot more. People created that pretty tough bunch of all pollutants and they can get rid of them as well.

 This is caused by human activities - burning off coal in power plants, burning of gasoline in cars, trucks, and other machines and of course cutting down the trees in the forests. The trees “breathe” carbon dioxide and provide oxygen and shadow ;).

Benzine, xylene, toluene You’ll find us in your gasoline. Don’t worry, we won’t make you sneeze; Instead we’ll give you lung disease. Asbestos, mercury, even lead, Just breathe us and you may be dead. Poison’s what we’re all about So you better stay clear, you better… … watch out!
