Two new Online Administration & Supervision Programs at the Johns Hopkins School of Education will help to prepare you for the transition into leadership with unparalleled knowledge and support.

JHU’s Online School Administration and Supervision Certificate Programs will prepare you for future roles as: Principal Assistant Principal Departmental Leader Other district-wide roles (as defined by local school districts)

Noteworthy Facts Certificate and master’s programs approved by Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and nationally recognized until February 1, 2023 Meet or exceed required pass rate for students who take the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA) Focus on practical application as well as appropriate leadership concepts Based on nationally recognized standards Work-friendly class meeting times Experienced faculty associates

In addition to our traditional face-to-face Administration and Supervision certificate and master’s degree programs, we are excited to announce the addition of two new online certificate offerings in the Administration and Supervision program area: Traditional Online Certificate Program Online Program for Current JHU TFA Master’s Degree Students

18-Credit Graduate Certificate Program in School Administration and Supervision Programs designed for school- district employed certified teachers and other certified personnel with at least 27 months of satisfactory teaching performance

The 18-Credit Certificate Program in School Administration & Supervision Organization and Administration of Schools School Law Effective Leadership Supervision and Professional Development Curriculum Theory, Development & Implementation Internship in Administration and Supervision

Online Course Format 7-9 week online courses Facilitated on a weekly cycle Highly interactive Balance of whole group, team, and individual activities and assignments each week Requires a high level of comfort with technology Integration of Blackboard and Web 2.0 tools

 Flexible Online Program is open to all online A&S candidates.  Students choose from a roster of available online courses.  Flexible pace to accommodate students’ busy lives.  JHU Teach for America Cohort Online Pathway Program will be open to JHU TFA Corps members only.  Initial Fall 2015 Cohort students will enroll in a prescribed course sequence starting with:  Organization & Administration of Schools  Supervision and Professional Development

Online A&S Application Deadlines Completed applications, including all supporting documents, must be received by August 15 for Fall 2015 admission. Completed applications, including all supporting documents, must be received by December 1 for Spring 2016 admission.
