What is a QR code? How can you use QR codes in your classroom? A QR code is a square grid of smaller squares containing encoded data that is designed to be scanned, to provide information. There are many different ways to use QR code and many different places to get ideas on how to use them. flapjackeducation.com (check out the classroom memories video) Pinterest.com qrstuff.com the-qrcode- generator.com

Here are some codes we can practice with.

Reflection Cubes These blocks are a fun way for students to interact with each other. They can also put their “Teacher HAT”on and tell you what they would do different (when discussing a certain subject or topic). Go ahead and give it a try. Find a partner and scan away! This block pattern is a free download on flapjackeducaiton.com

How can students make their own QR code? Go to hand out. See sample book. You could use these QR codes for any subject and any age group.

When is it ok to use your mobile devices? Please go to your handout. Talk with your group about appropriate etiquette.
