KIDNEY TRANSPLANTATION A kidney transplant is an operation that places a healthy kidney in your body. After transplantation operation, the patient do not need dialysis anymore.
There are 2 types of kidney transplantation according to the source of kidney. 1) Kidney from living donors 2) Kidney from deceased donors. TYPES OF TRANSPLANTATION
The surgery lasts for 3 hours. The donor kidney will be placed in the lower abdomen and its blood vessels connected to arteries and veins in the patient's body. When this is complete, blood will be allowed to flow through the kidney again. The final step is connecting the ureter from the donor kidney to the bladder. In most cases, the kidney will soon start producing urine. Operation Process
