some crops require specific kinds of machines to plant cultivate, or harvest farmers must decide which machines to buy or rent. each year, farmers use money earned from the previous years crops to buy or rent any special machinery that is needed. Once farmers have chose which crops to plant they must also deside how to keep them healthy Bugs and other pests can damage or destroy crops. weeds can deprive crops of nutrients water and sunlight. Some farmers solve these problems by using kemicals to kill bugs and weeds.
