What would be answer. How farms work. What do Fonterra do? Why do not many people have farms. What you need to know about farming! How kids get involved. What if we didn’t have farms! Facts about new Zealand farming.

How farms work. How a farm works. A farm works for milk and meat. The farm normally has a worker who brings the cows from their paddocks up to the cow sheds. The cow shed is made to take their milk and put the milk into a vat. Them later on the fonterra milk truck comes and collects the milk and takes it to the Fonterra station.

What do Fonterra do? Fonterra collect all the milk and then store and heats the milk so all the bacteria that the cow might have had doesn't go into a milk carton. Then sells it to supermarkets and stores around new Zealand and the world.

Why do not many people have farms. People don’t have farm because the government needs farms to build houses for people to live In so the government put up the prices for farms.

What you need to know about farming! Farming isn’t just putting cows into the shed, milking them, putting them into a paddock then leaving them there. You have to look after your animals and treat them with respect. If you don’t look after your animals they will get sick and die and you have nothing to put in your freezer.

How kids get involved. Kids can get involved bye asking mum or dad to help round up the cows or even milk them! There are activities around new Zealand such as calf club. Calf club helps kids understand animals better and be more respectful when they are on another's person property.

What if we didn’t have farms!  We would be like every other over populated country's in the world. We wouldn’t have as much milk as we do now and all the tasty meat that we put on the pan. We would have less sports facilities and me might even get 2 rainbows end. We wouldn’t have the all blacks as good as they are now and wouldn't have respect from other country’s.

Facts about new Zealand farming. NZ is the biggest farming country in the world. NZ gives nearly every country in the world meat and milk. Farming gives NZ the best reputation. Fonterra used to sponsor the all blacks.

The end!!!
