Summary of Hours-of-Service (HOS)

Logbook Use  Many motor carriers use electronic logbooks for hours-of-service but there are still paper logs being used.  As a way to teach this concept, please view one of more of the videos below. You will need to understand this concept to be able to complete the HOS Activity.   

Truck Simulator  As a way to help new drivers obtain a CDL, many schools and companies have trucking simulators.  Some companies require a number of accident free hours of simulator time before they allow the drivers to get behind the wheel of a real semi!
