Chinese Religion By: Alana Cohen

Introduction Religion was very important to the people of China because they would practice the many different parts and they had many beliefs. One part of religion is the laughing Buddha. The laughing Buddha is a sign if fertility and abundance. Another part of religion is Tai Chi; which was invented a very long time ago in the 12 th century. In my opinion there is many things to learn about religion in China.

The Three Ways There are three major parts of religion in China. One of those three parts is Buddhism which has two meanings. Another part is Confucianism which is teaching respect. The last part is Daoism which was emerged in the war of states period. Chinese religion is really interesting because they use things in their religion we don’t use in our religion!

What Is Buddhism? Do you know what Buddhism is? Well know you do. Buddhism has two different parts to it. One part is meditation. The other part is the belief of the afterlife. Buddhism was not originally from China. It was brought to china in the first century from India. Buddhism is one of the three ways. Buddhism Statue

Conclusion China’s religion is different than our religion, yet it is the same. One way they are different is that they use the laughing Buddha and we don’t. One way they are the same is that both countries celebrate Holy Communion. This is how these countries religions are the same yet different! Chinese symbols
