ECO - Objectives The Energy Company Obligation is designed to complement the domestic Green Deal in a number of areas. ECO will combine with Green Deal finance to make these measures affordable under the Green Deal.

ECO - Targeting ECO will be focused on: - The needs of the lower income and most vulnerable households. & Those properties needing the next most cost-effective measures that do not meet the Golden Rule. (e.g. solid wall insulation)

Who is paying for ECO ECO is paid for through a levy on our domestic energy bills. Collected by the big six energy providers. Every household contributes, rich or poor. Regardless of the type of heating fuel.

ECO – Cost to Cumbria £ 12 Million Contribution Each Year until 2015 £36 Million Total Use it or loose it!
