Developmental Assets Work Group- TOR We act to: Facilitate cooperative planning Promote building Assets as a way of working to positively impact children and youth Facilitate the sharing of information and experiences Support the deliberate and intentional use of Assets and promote a common language

A Common Language We recognized that there are different resiliency frameworks out there. Examples: CAMH’s Growing Up Resilient Resiliency Initiative’s Developmental Strengths Search Institute’s Developmental Assets

Identified Commonalities of Frameworks Goal of building healthy, caring, responsible, resilient children and youth “It takes a village to raise a child” What kids need to succeed and thrive are positive experiences, skills, opportunities, qualities and values Relationships are key Focus on building internal and external strengths or assets

Youth Collective Impact Grant By 2020, we will increase developmental assets by 10% for Leeds-Grenville youth at the transition periods of; elementary school to intermediate school, intermediate school to secondary school, secondary school to post- secondary.
