A literalequation is an equation where the variable is solved in terms of at least one different variable. Mathformulas are examples of literal equations.

Perimeter or Circumference Formulas Can you recall a math formula from prior learning? Remember a math formula is an example of a literal equation. Area Formulas Perimeter or Circumference Formulas

A literal equation is solved in the same manner as any equation A literal equation is solved in the same manner as any equation. You must apply the properties of equality. This means that you must perform the same operation on both sides of the equation!!!! Whatever is performed on one side of an equation MUST BE performed on the other side of the equation.
