 The state bird is the cactus wren.

 The state tree is The Sargo Cactus.

 The state fish is the Yellow Palo Verde.

 The Arizona radio observatory owns and operates two radio telescopes in southern Arizona. The radio observatory is located 50 miles southwest of Tuscan.

 The salt river bridges crosses the salt river at the Roosevelt dam.

 The roosevelt damn was constructed between 1905 and 1911 to control the flow of the salt river, and to harness the water for irrigation.

 The skydiver is the newest ride is castles and coasters. The skydiver picks you up an unexpectedly drops you about 120 feet back to earth at record speed.

 The wild life world zoo is home to over 2,400 animals, and more than 400 exotic and endangered species.

The grand canyon is known for its size and colorful landscape.The grand canyon is not the deepest canyon but the most visited. The grand canyon is one of the best examples of erosion.

 Arizona lies on the Colorado plateau. The Colorado plateau is a region of dry plains that cover more than 4,000 ft high with many deep canyons. One of the most famous would be the Grand Canyon. The southern part of the state has many desert basins that are broken up by mountains with rocky peaks. Arizona only receives about 30 inches of rain a year.

 The Arizona White mountains has hundreds of miles of trails, dozens of lakes, and it’s geography makes it perfect for camping, boating, fishing, hunting, skiing, hikeing, horseback riding and biking

 The Apache National Forest Is another great place to enjoy biking, camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, picnics, and many other out door activities. The forest takes up over 2 million acres of beautiful mountainous country.

 Canyon lake has two boat launch ramps, and 3 no fee picnic areas. Canyon lake Has sandy beaches designated for swimming. Canyon lake has fish such as walleye, large mouth bass, yellow bass, rainbow trout, bluegill, channel fish, and crappies. There is also no fee to camp there. There are a total of 77 camp sites with water and sewer hookups open from October through april.
