Salary breakdowns  Median expected annually pay for a typical Fire Fighter in the United States is $42,796 so 50% of the people who perform the job of Accountant I in the United Sates are expected to make less than $42,796.

Job Responsibilities  Some of the responsibilities of a fire fighter are fire rescue, fire suppression, first aid, CPR, advanced life support, burn treatment, fire investigation, fire prevention, emergency planning and public relations.  A fire fighter is also expected to be physically fit and able to handle injured civilians without any emotional distortion.

Job Requirements  Must be 18 years old by date of employment  Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED certificate  provide a copy of the following referenced document with their application package  EMT-B Certification (or higher) from the Virginia Department of Health, National Registry (showing effective and expiration dates), or a state certification, which is recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
