on.cpf.ca About Canadian Parents for French We are the national network of volunteers which values French as an integral part of Canada and which is dedicated to the promotion and creation of French-second-language learning opportunities for young Canadians. 3 CPF was founded in 1977 by parents who wanted to ensure that children would have the opportunity to become bilingual in the Canadian school system. Today, CPF is a national organization with its headquarters in Ottawa and branch offices in 9 provinces and in the Northwest Territories.
