 Representative democracy is a common type of democracy. Britain is a representative democracy. This is where citizens within a country elect a representative to make decisions for them. Every 5 years in Britain the people have the chance to vote into power those they wish to represent us in Parliament.

 The leader of the Conservative Party is David Cameron. The leader of Labour Party is Ed Miliband. The other party was Liberal Democrat and they are run by Nic Clegg.

 Magna Carta, meaning ‘The Great Charter’, is one of the most famous documents in the world. (r ) as a practical solution to the political crisis he faced in 1215, Magna Carta was established for the first time, the principle that everybody, including the king, was subject to the law. Although nearly a third of the text was deleted or substantially rewritten within ten years, and almost all the clauses have been repealed in modern times, Magna Carta remains a cornerstone of the British constitution.

 Suffragettes were members of a women's organization (right to vote) movements in the late 19th and early 20th century, particularly militants in Great Britain such as members of the women’ (WSPU). Suffragist is a more general term for members of suffrage movements, if radical or conservative, male or female’
