Choosing a Year 11 VCE Course Students must choose 6 subjects from: Unit 1 and 2 VCE units – including one English subject VET ONE Unit 3 & 4 VCE units Respect ~ Honesty ~ Cooperation ~ Courtesy ~ Endeavour
Choosing a Year 12 VCE Course Students must choose 5 subjects from: Unit 3 & 4 VCE units – must include an English VET units Respect ~ Honesty ~ Cooperation ~ Courtesy ~ Endeavour
Qualifying for the VCE You need to pass a minimum of 16 units You must pass at least three units of English In order to receive an ATAR score, you must satisfactorily complete a unit 3 & 4 English sequence Plus three sequences of Units 3 and 4 level studies (3 Year 12 subjects) – either VCE or VET Attendance requirements also apply Respect ~ Honesty ~ Cooperation ~ Courtesy ~ Endeavour

VCE VET Studies Give training in specific vocational areas Count towards VCE and VCAL Competency based assessment Some have scored assessment/exam Can lead into TAFE courses Costs / deposit involved – see subject selection booklet for more information? Video Conferencing Video conferencing has been offered as an alternative option for delivering and receiving courses in the past. This may also be an option in 2016.

Challenge and confidence builder Gain experience for Year 12 studies with organisation, writing skills, SACs and exams Access to a wider subject choice Gives you 6 Unit 3 and 4 subjects Can help boost your ATAR score Don’t forget some Year 12 subjects require Units 1 and 2 studies.
