Assisted Living State Regulation Resident Assessment ArizonaCalifornia An evaluation of the resident and the service plan has to implemented once the resident enters the facility. It is expected to be finalized within fourteen days after acceptance. The service plan for direct care is updated quarter. Updates for personal care plans are done biannually, while supervisory care service plans are update annually. Any changes in the condition of the residents will require the service plans to be updated. The functional capacity, social situation, and psychological condition of the residents are evaluated before they enter the facility. Assessment forms can be downloaded from even if no institutional forms are required. An annual appraisal is conducted on the resident or when any noticeable changes are observed. The assessment tool of the resident will require a complete report from a doctor, which must be updated when noticeable changes are observed on the resident

Assisted Living State Regulation Medication Management ArizonaCalifornia Licensed nurses are the only ones allowed to administer medication. Residents may be assisted in taking medication by trained caregivers and certified assisted living managers, who may also administer medication upon orders by the doctor and appropriate training. Employees of the facility are not permitted to dispense medication to residents. However, they can provide assistance to residents in taking medication. They should have the appropriate skills and training before they can administer medication.
