Sea of Galilee Located at the north part of Galilee Not a sea, but a lake 24 km long and 11.2 km wide Also called Lake of Tiberias

Sea of Galilee & Mount of Beatitudes

Jesus loved the Sea of Galilee Jesus met the first apostles Peter, Andrew, James, John on its shores Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes for the crowd on its shores Jesus did the Sermon on the Mount near the Sea of Galilee (Mount of Beatitudes) Jesus calmed the storm that almost tipped over Peter’s boat Jesus walked on the water of the Sea of Galilee

The calm lake can quickly become a storm.
