N What do you need? blank 8-1/2 x 11 paper pencil straight edge What do you do? Fold the paper two times in each direction. Make your folds precise and your crease sharp! Unfold and smooth the paper. The crease lines are your guidelines for drawing the map. Up is north.

Great Sea (Mediterranean) one at the map’s left edge one at the map’s center and one halfway in between Draw a backward “S” curve connecting all three points. Extend your line to where the right-most fold line meets the top of the map. You have drawn the coast of the first of five seas, the GREAT Sea.

2 RIVERS Find a spot halfway between Kinneret and the top of the map. Jordan River Draw down along the fold line from this spot to the Kinneret and from the Kinneret to the Salt Sea. You have drawn the first of two rivers, the JORDAN.
