In this lesson we will learn about how bullying makes us feel, and how we can try and stop it.

Some children used to tease me about my spots. I used to wish that I could wash them away!

It all changed when I told them that I didn’t find their jokes funny, and that they must stop it! Now I’m so proud of my beautiful fur!

Worrying about bullying kept me awake at nights... I was picked on because I’m chubby!

Now I realise elephants are meant to be large. I am happy in my own skin! I know I can slim down by eating less and exercising more – if and when I choose to!

Some kids thought I wouldn’t be fun to play with because I am a wheelchair user. I was very lonely. I had no one to play with.

I showed them my wheelies, and challenged them to some exciting board games. Now they all want to be my best friend! Yeah!! Cool eh?

People used to mimic my accent when I was learning English. It made me feel so small!

I told my teacher what was happening. The children stopped mimicking straight away. Now they want to speak another language like me. They know how clever I am now!

Children used to wind me up. They made me lose my temper by saying horrible things about my dad. They would make it worse by laughing at me! Grrrr !

My friends have shown me how to ignore unkind remarks… … and I have learned how to count to ten to help me stay calm! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

Children made remarks about my skin colour. It made me confused. Sometimes I wished my skin was darker. Sometimes I wished it was lighter.

My mum taught me how to stand tall, look the bully in the eye, and talk calmly. I’m Teefa. This is me. I’m beautiful – just as I am! Sometimes they said nasty things because they were jealous!

Some girls used to leave me out of their games. They said I was dirty, and not pretty like them.

I’ve made lots of new friends, and we all play together. Those horrid girls know that my friends will stand up for me. They don’t bother me any more. We have lots of adventures together.

If you’re wondering about me, I’ve never been bullied! Do you know why?

I keep well away from bullies. Who needs them? You should too, if you can.

We Go-Givers play together and keep an eye out for each other. And we stand up for anyone we see being bullied. If we can’t sort it, we report it to an adult. We don’t get bullied any more!
