▪Design: ▪$250,000 matching grant fund ▪Grantees must launch or expand Dreamer scholarships ▪Grantees must secure and commit equal amount ▪Scholarships payable beginning in 2015 ▪Students must attend public or private non-profit institutions ▪Goals: ▪Increase total pool of funds ▪Incentivize providers to expand commitment ▪Leverage financial support from other sources ▪Enlarge the community of allies and advocates Invest in the Dream
▪Outcomes: ▪54 proposals from 20 states ▪Diverse applicant pool, over $1.6 million in requests ▪9 grantees selected – equally diverse mix ▪2 grantees are supporting Dreamers for the first time ▪3 grantees limit eligibility to DACA students ▪Next Steps: ▪Grantees will award scholarships in 2015 ▪E4FC will assess outcomes ▪Support learning and knowledge sharing by grantees ▪Decide by early 2015 about renewing the program next year Invest in the Dream
