1 Corinthians 4:1-5 Advanced Christianity III: Stability

1 Cor. 4:1-2 Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy. uperete  2 Tim. 1:3 I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience… 1 Cor. 3:3 for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?

Advanced Christian Thought But to me it is a very small thing that I should be examined by you, or by any human court; in fact, I do not even examine myself. 1 Cor. 4:3 2 Tim. 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; 1 Cor. 4:1 “…regard us…as servants of CHRIST…”

Advanced Christian Thought But to me it is a very small thing that I should be examined by you, or by any human court; in fact, I do not even examine myself. 2 Cor. 2:17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God. 2 Tim. 3:12 And indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

Advanced Christian Thought But to me it is a very small thing that I should be examined by you, or by any human court; in fact, I do not even examine myself.

1 Cor.4:4 For I am conscious of nothing against myself, yet I am not by this acquitted; but the one who examines me is the Lord. For I am conscious of nothing against myself, yet I am not by this acquitted; but the one who examines me is the Lord.

Advanced Christian Thought But to me it is a very small thing that I should be examined by you, or by any human court; in fact, I do not even examine myself. #1 Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it? "I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind”

1 Cor. 4:5 Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men's hearts; and then each man's praise will come to him from God. But when they measure themselves by themselves, and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding. 2 Cor. 10:12

Advanced Christian Thought For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ. -Galatians 1:10

Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy.
