 Launch our work experience programme at L.B of Croydon Journey start 2008

L.B of Brent wish to work with us:  Opening up the world of Transportation and Highways and consultancy skills for the unemployed Our journey so far

 Setting up of Think Tank with government agencies including; LDA, GLA, IdEA, G.O.L, OGC, London Councils, TfL, DWP, Capital Ambition, private sector, local authorities – to pool ideas to tackle unemployment. Our Journey so far

 Put in bid for Future Jobs Fund Our Journey so far

Using people from Brent

 971 new jobs with 80 partners  (local authorities, police, NHS, housing associations, private sector, environmental organisations e.t.c.) Our Journey so far

 Bid failed – Amnick financially too small for £7.5m bid  Into partnership with  Bid submitted Feb 2010 – programme closed by new coalition government Our Journey so far

 Working and supporting our communities  Our Share and Support Campaign Dual focus

 Making better use of our local resources:  Buildings (schools, businesses, religious establishments)  People (unemployed, old, young, mums, disabled e.t.c.) Integrating these into Community Hubs to deliver Working and supporting our communities
