3D Micromanufacturing Lab. [1] Centrifuge

[2] 3D Micromanufacturing Lab. What is a centrifuge? A centrifuge is a piece of equipment, generally driven by an electric motor that puts an object in rotation around a fixed axis, applying a force perpendicular to the axis. In our lab, centrifuge is used to separate the MCF-7 cells from the liquid media. After centrifuge, all of the cells are adhered at the bottom of tube thus can be separated from media.

[3] 3D Micromanufacturing Lab. Settings Speed can be increasing by rotating ‘Move’ knob. To change timer and rpm settings, rotate ‘Enter knob’. Always keep two equally weight samples in opposite chucks as shown in Figure. Always make sure of weight balance after keeping samples in the centrifuge.
