UHMWPE SPECIALITIES - It can be used as an additives in rubbers and other polymer materials for structure forming and run-out downing, creating on it’s base new composite materials; - UHMWPE as an additive in rubber forms very strong compounding that can be applied as rubber arms, working surfaces of pipeline’s belt. New properties: high durability, chemical resistance, high working period rice-Quality. - UHMWPE can be a base for composite materials production with organic or mineral elements. Thus items can achieve such properties as fire-resistance, improved resistance itself, magnet-protecting properties while preserving dielectric characteristics, run-out resistance and abrasion index. WARM-SPRAYING OF HIGH-VELOCITY PARTICLES While thermal spraying of UHMWPE it was decided that coating will obtain properties of low resistance caused by high temperature of the process. But recently new equipment has appeared based on warm indexes change. The coating can archive a thickness of 100 µm during spraying with low temperature.
Today along with chemical faculty of SPbSU, SPbSTI (TU) we are experiencing anti-bacterial additives which can be combined with UHMWPE and we are producing mechanism of additive’s technology use, defining necessary scale of molecules, studying physical properties of produced materials We are studying special ground layers that can be applied before UHMWPE coating including epoxy of new generation COOPERATION WITH UNIVERSITIES
