Endocrine- Graves disease By: Montanna Reimer

What is Graves disease? This is an autoimmune disorder that leads to over activity of the thyroid gland. Autoimmune is something that attacks healthy body tissue.

How do you get graves disease? the thyroid gland releases the hormones (T4) and (T3), which control body metabolism. This controls your mood, weight, and mental and physical energy levels. And you get it when your body makes to much of these hormones.

What happens to the system? You will have lots of symptoms like difficulty concentrating, double vision, eye irritation, fatigue, muscle weakness, and nervousness

How does the body fight it off? Your body is already attacking the healthy tissues in your body so your body does not attack or fight it off.

what medicines do you need to take and is it curable? You can have Surgery but you will need to take replacement thyroid hormones for the rest of your life. There is other things but it wont completely cure it.
