As of August 31, 2014 #192 EC-6 Bilingual Generalist exam will no longer exist For Bilingual Certification, you will be required to pass: #191 (will become 291 Fall 2014) EC-6 Generalist exam #164 Bilingual Supplemental exam #190 BTLPT exam #160 EC-12 PPR exam

What Changes are Coming for 2014-15??? As of August 31, 2014 #191 EC-6 Generalist and #111 4-8 Generalist exams will be revised The new revised exams will be required of students who have not met certification requirements by 8-31-13 Must pass all domains (content areas) of the exam for an overall “passing” score

Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT)-Spanish Test at a Glance 84 Multiple Choice Questions 7 Constructed-Response Tasks Listening Comprehension 21% Reading Comprehension 26% Oral Expression 29% Written Expression 24%

Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT)-Spanish Scoring In each domain, the scaled score provides an indication of overall performance within that domain on 100-300 scaled score Domains I and II – number of points possible equals the number of scored multiple choice questions Domain III – 5 spoken response questions 6 raw points possible for each response (30 possible pts) Weighted to reflect contribution to total score Domain IV – 3 written response questions 6 raw points possible (18 possible pts) Weighted by multiplying them by 2.0
