Reading Comprehension Practice Show that you comprehend what you’ve read… Make predictions Visualize Summarize Ask questions Make connections Reflect on your opinion 1. Write down your thoughts about one of the above categories. 2. After writing your thought, include a “quote” from the story to support it. Be willing to go back and re-read if you don’t remember or understand!

Reading Comprehension Practice When you include quotes from the story to support your thoughts about what you read, a good writer embeds the quotes smoothly and skillfully into their writing! Not so good  I honestly want to know, did Lennie really get kicked in the head? Quote: “He got kicked in the head by a horse when he was little.” Good I honestly want to know, did Lennie really get kicked in the head? In the story, George says that Lennie was “kicked in the head by a horse when he was little.”
