Business School Curriculum Renewal Project Outcomes Review and revise (as needed) Program intents/learning outcomes 2.Develop Program structures for degree(s) that will specialise in Accounting, Finance, (Economics), Marketing, Management, International Business 3.Have a plan for developing any required new Courses and revising and existing Courses (as required) to ensure alignment to Program learning outcomes 4.Programs and Courses will be ready for implementation:  first year in 2015  second year in 2016  third year in

Business School Curriculum Renewal Project Outcomes Curriculum Renewal Director will provide:  An approach to reviewing and revising the Curriculum  Alignment of high order elements mapped to Program level learning outcomes  Tools and templates for documenting alignment of Courses to higher order elements and alignment of internal elements of Courses  Assistance, as required, to inform and support Curriculum Renewal 5

Recommendations of B Comm Review Increase the number of level 1 courses to broaden students’ exposure to the disciplines 2.Clearly map requirements for specialisations and provide pathways for concurrent study in related degrees 3.Consider named degrees with separate entry 4.Clearly differentiate between Corporate Finance and Finance 5.Include greater emphasis on real world examples and case studies 6.Consider an Economics specialisation 7.Continue to improve the mapping of learning outcomes across the Programs 6

Curriculum Rules Bachelor (3 years AQF Level 7) - minimum 72 units 2.Required inclusion of a Major - minimum 24 units within a coherent body of study, at least 12 must be at level 3 3.At least 9 units of broadening electives – i.e. elective in a subject area outside of the Program  Formally approved credit bearing study aboard and exchange opportunities can be considered as broadening electives  Exemption if meeting standards for accreditation by professional/industry body precludes inclusion 4.Named degrees must have 9 units of unique content not presented in any other award 7

University Learning and Teaching Inclusions and Priorities Operational Plan Targets 1.At least 2 instances of Small Group Discovery Experience every year for all students for all Undergraduate Programs – SDGE experiences to be integrated into and aligned to Program and Course learning outcomes 2.Online learning activities and active meaningful presence on MyUni for all Undergraduate Programs 3.All Undergraduate programs to have career readiness development integrated and aligned to Program learning outcomes 4.A capstone research experience in all Undergraduate Programs 5.Advanced Bachelor programs are available in each Faculty 9
