The Study of Law and legal Thought EXPLORING JURISPRUDENCE

WHAT IS JURISPRUDENCE? The study of law extends beyond the mere examination of rules and their application to society. The consideration of values, concepts, social, political and economic factors underlying the law itself demands a deeper form of legal study Jurisprudence is described as the science or philosophy of law that deals with both applying legal doctrine and investigating the concepts, notions, and principles of legal thought. Jurisprudence may be thought as a legal matrix that comprises many interlocking concepts, theories, principles and institutions.
