PIR MOTION SENSOR By Talal BUTT Checked by Uzair Aakhoon

INTRODUCTION  In this presentation I will be discussing about what a sensor is, what a PIR motion sensor is, what it is used for and examples of how it is used in everyday life.

CONTENTS PAGE  Page 2; introduction  Page 4: what a sensor is  Page 5; what a PIR motion sensor is  Page 6; what a PIR motion sensor is used for  Page 7; how it is used in everyday life  Page 8; how its used in my work

WHAT IS A SENSOR  A sensor is a type of device that has been programmed to measure or detect a physical property and then carry out a task by responding to it.

WHAT IS A PIR MOTION SENSOR  A PIR motion sensor is a passive infrared sensor  A PIR motion sensor has a specific field of view in which it detects motion to carry out a task

WHAT A PIR MOTION SENSOR IS USED FOR  PIR motion sensors use infrared sensors to detect motion to check if a signal should be sent to carry out the next task  For a PIR motion sensor the next task would be to sound an alarm because these sensors are most commonly used for burglar alarms.

HOW IT IS USED IN EVERYDAY LIFE  PIR motion sensors are used for security purposes in everyday life for example a burglar alarm

HOW ITS USED IN MY WORK  I done a project where I used a bread board to connect the PIR motion sensor with a speaker to create a burglar alarm  When the motion sensor picked up any movement it would send a signal to the speaker which will make it project a noise
