The online learning movement is bottom up  Which means the people in this room and others like you are the ones who will move the vision forward If we are truly going to collaborate, then it is our responsibility to implement what we learn today.

 Money  Position  Power  Ownership / Copyright

 More bang for the buck when more people use the same resource  More people educated in the use of online resources  More college graduates when institutions have a more collaborative and articulating learning system  Online resources not bound by space or time  A more educated educator work force regarding the use of online resources

 Need vertical collaborations vs. horizontal collaborations  All students belong to all of us  Online learning is the place this can happen because time and space is limitless

 Educating and advocating  Online teacher professional development/training  Online skills for students so they complete online courses  Course management systems / technology back end use (e.g. use of Moodle, etc.)  Common way to count and report online students  Common standards for course development  Online learning friendly legislation  UC/CSU online learning friendly policies and articulation

 Ongoing communication  Place to meet and talk and dream  Technologies are nice, but it is people to people interaction that cause transformations to occur in teaching and learning
