 Number of jobs outlook: 1,037,600 jobs  Growth rate ( ): 7%, which is about 71,900 more jobs.

 Plan lessons  Assess students to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses in their writing.  Teach students as an entire class or in small groups (differentiated instruction with scaffolding).  Encourage students to be active learners.  Connect with students.

 Challenging: - Lesson plans… (allotting enough time for specific lessons) - Differentiated instruction (Changing the format of the lesson to best help the students; figuring out what works best)  Easy: - Connecting with students. - Helping students be active learners; engaging them.

 Environment: Public or private high schools, charter schools, private religious schools.  Schedule: Typical day is from 7 am-4 pm. Morning (7 am): Preplanning hour Classes start (hourly) until 2:30 pm 2:30-4 pm: after school planning

 Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education English.  Secondary teaching state License/Certification (which allows you to teach 7-12 th grade).

 Communication skills- collaboration with teachers, talking to students, students’ parents, etc.  Instructional skills- keep students engaged, differentiation, scaffolding  Patience- helping struggling students
