Who are making a great contribution to the spiritual culture of the peoples of the Land of mountains today. The word “Fazu” in Avar language means “Fire-bird”. Her principle theme is the women’s happiness. Whether she is thinking of her own life or writing with deep feeling about her own mother or son, or addressing herself to the snow mountains and crystal springs, or singing the praises of devotion in love -

all this has a song of happiness, the happiness of living, feeling, experiencing and enjoying. She is a very kind and responsive woman. Kindness is a distinguishing feature of her poetic gifts too. She is a very kind and responsive woman. Kindness is a distinguishing feature of her poetic gifts too.

One of her volumes of poetry was entitled “I hand Out a Rainbow”. This is symbolic: the poetess generously bestows on people the warmth and wealth of her own heart. She writes verses because she is convinced they are necessary “for all people as dreams of the stars, as the sun’s rays, as the moon’s light, the splash of the waves, as fresh air”.

She is well known in Dagestan as playwright too. In recent years she has shown herself to be a talented writer of prose. Her novel “ The Wind will Not Carry Away A Clod of Earth” is the first autobiographical novel in the history of Dagestan literature.

This work enriched Dagestan prose with the theme of the inseparableness of literary talent from the life and destiny of the people. Altogether, she has written more than 20 volumes of poetry and 10 novels, seven of which have been published in 30 languages.
