Frequently asked questions

Are there prerequisites? Yes, participants must complete at least one action per section Does the program recognize green products or services provided by businesses? No Is there the ability to write-in green actions we are completing that are not in the scorecard? Yes, one per section Is there a separate program for tenants and property managers? No, there is only one program. FAQ’s

How do you verify the actions are completed? Is there a site visit? Once the completed scorecard is submitted, City of Austin staff will have a brief phone conversation with each participating business The City will randomly pick applicants for a site visit and detailed review of supporting documentation What documentation do I need to show? If you have been selected for a site visit, please document all completed actions and have it ready for review. Please provide information in a three ring binder or in folders on a laptop Actions not documented will not be counted in your score.

14 FAQ’s Is the information I provide subject to an open records request? What information will be advertised? City will advertise: 1.Name of Company on website 2.Tiers achieved City will have but will not advertise: 1.Score 2.Individual actions completed How long is the recognition period? – 2 years from recognition, reconnect at 1.5 year – Rolling admission and recognition
